Data Privacy Policy

Your data,
in plain terms.

This page is maintained by the organizer of You & AI: Trust in Practice (“we”, “us”) to explain how information submitted through this website is handled. It describes our current practices and is not a certification, audit result or independent verification. It is written for a United States audience and is provided for information only, not as legal advice.

§ 01

What we collect

We only collect what you type into a form on this site:

  • Registration form: the name, email address, organization and role information you enter to be notified about episodes.
  • Speaker application form: the name, email address, organization, role, topic area and any notes or links you choose to include.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive categories of personal information such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health data or biometric data. Please do not submit them in free-text fields.

§ 02

How we use it

  • To send you details, reminders and follow-ups for the live series.
  • To review and respond to speaker applications.
  • To understand which topics and sectors are drawing interest, in aggregate.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

§ 03

Where it goes

Form submissions are stored in a private Google Sheets workbook owned by the organizer, accessible only to the series team. Depending on how you reach or interact with the series, the following third parties may also process related data under their own privacy policies:

  • Google (Google Sheets) — storage of form submissions.
  • LinkedIn — hosting of the live episodes and any registration you complete on LinkedIn itself.
  • Lovable — the platform this website is built on and hosted through, which processes standard web request data.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of participants.

§ 04

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Embedded video and hosting infrastructure may record standard technical request data such as IP address and browser type for delivery and security purposes.

§ 05

Retention and deletion

We keep registration and speaker application records for the duration of the series and for up to 24 months afterwards so we can share follow-up episodes, then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your record sooner at any time.

§ 06

Your US privacy rights

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and others as they take effect) have rights to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Opt out of sale or targeted advertising — we do neither.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise a right, email tiarne.hawkinsusa@gmail.com with the email address you used to sign up. We aim to respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent, and you can appeal a decision by replying to our response.

§ 07

Security and shared responsibility

Access to submission data is limited to the series team and protected by the account controls of the platforms we use, including two-step verification on the Google account that owns the sheet. The hosting platform provides transport encryption (HTTPS) and encryption of stored data. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, and we make no absolute security claims.

Platform providers are responsible for their infrastructure controls; we are responsible for how we configure and use them; you are responsible for what you choose to submit.

§ 08

Children

This series is intended for professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

§ 09

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the series evolves; the “last updated” date above always reflects the current version. Questions, privacy requests or security reports: tiarne.hawkinsusa@gmail.com.
